Contributes to the university’s mission through teaching, research and service, some variation by academic unit.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Provides clinical services and teaching of diagnostic radiology
  • Interprets x-ray images in all modalities of diagnostic radiology when needed
  • Mentors and instructs residents, fellows, and medical students in research projects as requested or assigned by department chair
  • Lectures and holds conferences and participate in related meetings and school functions
  • Initiates or participates in scholarly activities of the Department of Radiology
  • Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
  • Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibilities
  • Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations

  • Board certified by the American Board of Radiology
  • Completion of 1 year training in either Thoracic imaging or Neuroradiology
  • Regional or emerging national reputation for the rank of associate professor or higher

Required Qualifications
  ?Academic degree as defined by the academic unit and as appropriate for the position held.   • M.D. or D.O. Degree
  • Texas Medical License or eligible for licensure
  • Completion of a ACGME accredited radiology residency program
  • Competent in all imaging modalities including US, CT, MRI, plain films
