Major/Essential Functions
  • Establishes educational/surgical curricula for fellows, residents and medical students
  • Provides inpatient and outpatient case management, gynecological and reconstructive pelvic surgery, and management of pelvic floor disorders
  • Participates in teaching activities with residents, interns and medical students
  • Develops and participates in research activities
  • Participates in hospital and university committees
  • Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
  • Demonstrates Professionalism in accordance with Paul L. Foster School of Medicine Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility
  • Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior extensive clinical experience in laparoscopic, hysteroscopic and robotic gynecological surgery for general gynecology and FPMRPS
  • Training or experience in clinical or basic science research
  • Experience in education of residents and/or medical students
  • Emerging or established regional or national reputation for rank of Associate Professor or higher
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish

Required Qualifications
  • M.D./D.O.
  • Successful completion of an ACGME accredited OB/GYN Residency program
  • Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Successful completion of a fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery (FPMRPS)
  • Eligible for Texas medical license
