Major/Essential Functions
  • Supervises and teaches medical students/residents
  • Participates in research activities and/or projects
  • Provides patient care in hospital and outpatient settings, including on-call coverage and oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures
  • Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
  • Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulation
  • Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility

Required Qualifications
  • D.D.S., D.M.D., or M.D./D.M.D. degree
  • Successful completion of an oral and maxillofacial surgery residency training accredited by the Commission on Dental Education
  • Active dental license to independently practice oral and maxillofacial surgery or eligible for licensure from the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners
  • Board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
