  • Overview

    BRTRC Federal Solutions is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support our US Army customer. This is an onsite position at Fort Bliss, Texas. Travel to other performance locations CONUS may be required.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform system design, the physical and logical architecture, in which C4ISR systems work together
    • Develop and integrate electronic and power systems for various platforms with integrated Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) equipment
    • Produce an assessment of electrical system components (cable assembly components, control systems, sensor packages, electro-mechanical systems, etc.) to ensure engineering solutions can be built and determine/identify any trade-offs
    • Support the user evaluation of the prototype system in an operationally relevant environment, and update the architecture and system designs in response
    • Develop, document, and recommend electrical hardware/component solutions or improvements to the system
    • Provide recommendations on material purchasing to support systems integration activities
    • Generate detailed analyses for subsystem or system elements on stated operational/functional needs
    • Research and prepare draft and/or finished system wiring diagrams, reports, process studies, or technical information used for program reviews, design reviews, and proposal activities

    Qualifications

    • Current DoD security clearance
    • A bachelor's degree in a specialized professional engineering curriculum plus one full academic year of graduate education in the specialized field; or a bachelor's degree in a specialized professional engineering curriculum plus 3 years of applicable experience; or, a bachelor's degree in a professional engineering field with a minimum of 5 years of specialized experience

    Desired Skills:

    • Experience with the design, development, and integration of Army Tactical C4ISR systems and vehicle platforms
    • Experience with systems integration involving RF, cosite interference analysis, and EMI
    • Ability to anticipate and resolve issues during design, fabrication, assembly, and integration phases
    • Ability to develop system of systems integration plans to include developing modification designs for new equipment installation. Experience in AutoCAD, MS Visio, and/or MATLAB
